Day 1 – 22nd July – Circumnavigation of Anglesey
Our first day at sea is one of the longest in terms of distance and sees us setting off from Trwyn-Du on the East tip of the beautiful Isle of Anglesey.
We will have Puffin Island in sight immediately, home to guillemot, razorbill, cormorant (“shag”) and kittiwakes as well as Atlantic Puffins, to which the island lends its name.
We will then set off west, rounding the island at Carmel Head, before heading south across Holyhead bay to Porth Tywyn-mawr.
Here we will set up camp and prepare for the aches and pains to set in before we head of on Day 2.
