Our challenge is to kayak the Welsh Coast from Puffin Island in the North to Tenby in Pembrokeshire, South Wales over a period of 9 days.
The distance will be approximately 250 miles and our challenge will be one of the toughest undertaken by Sea Shepherd UK volunteers in recent years. We will be at the mercy of the weather, the tides and our own stamina as we head around Anglesey, all down the West coast of Wales and the loop around St. David’s before heading along the South coast of Wales to Tenby. The video below shows the route.
None of us has ever undertaken such a journey at Sea in a kayak and we will be training hard in all aspects of Sea Kayaking in the months leading up to the challenge.
More details of the route will appear here as we complete the complex planning associated with such an expedition.
